Professor Nedeff, '83, Comments on Murder Case for WXIN
09/03/2015
Professor Novella Nedeff, ’83, talked with WXIN about the case of infant Janna Rivera, who was reported missing May 29. Her father has been charged in connection with her death, in spite of the fact that her body has not been found. Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry, ‘78, made the decision August 27 to arrest the father and proceed with the criminal case.
The father has made conflicting statements to police about the child. “The fact that a person makes different statements, contradictory statements, shows that a person has something to hide and could be considered that’s circumstantial evidence of guilt,” Professor Nedeff said in the news story.
Professor Nedeff is a clinical professor of law and teaches in the Criminal Defense Clinic.
