Karie Wong, wife of Kyle Wong, '15, Passed Away September 10

Karie Marchese Wong, wife of IU McKinney alum Kyle Wong, ’15, died September 10. She had been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in August 2014. She was 32.
Karie Wong graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2005. The couple had two children: Lilly and Landon. Kyle Wong was a student in IU McKinney’s evening division, and The Evening Student Union, or TESU, which formed in Fall 2014, supported the family and its GoFundMe account that was used to help defray Karie Wong’s medical expenses.
Services will be held September 16 at 1 p.m. at Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 E. Broadway St., Logansport. Visitation will be held September 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Megan S. Ott Foundation, P.O. Box 1372, Noblesville, IN 46061.
