09/23/2015
The book The Business and Human Rights Landscape, co-edited by Associate Dean Karen Bravo, will be published by Cambridge University Press in October.
The book offers analysis of changes made by the 2011 adoption of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The new principles are the first global standards for preventing human rights abuses by businesses.
Dean Bravo wrote a chapter for the work, in addition to co-writing the introduction and co-editing the work with Professor Jena Martin of West Virginia University College of Law.
Dean Bravo is a Dean’s Fellow and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and International Affairs at IU McKinney. She is a well-known international law scholar, and an expert in the study of human trafficking.
The book will be the subject of a discussion program at IU McKinney on December 3, featuring professors Bravo and Martin. Check the law school’s website for upcoming details.
