Professor Nedeff Talks about Electronic Monitoring in Northwest Indiana Murder Case
10/06/2015
A man from Gary has been accused of murder, and prosecutors say the accused committed the crime while out of jail on electronic monitoring in connection with another murder charge. In addition, the accused crossed into Illinois without asking permission from the court to do so.
Pretrial release is out of the ordinary for someone facing a murder charge, Professor Novella Nedeff told a reporter for a story published in the Times of Northwest Indiana on October 4. “I would bet the judge is watching pretty closely,” Professor Nedeff said in the story.
Professor Nedeff is a clinical professor of law and teaches in the Criminal Defense Clinic.
