IU McKinney Alumni Elected to ISBA Board of Governors

Four alumni of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law have been elected to the Board of Governors of the Indiana State Bar Association. The elections took place during the group’s annual meeting in French Lick on October 9.
Deborah Caruso, ’81, was elected to the Board of Governors. A cum laude graduate of the law school, she is a member of the firm Dale & Eke, practicing in the area of bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, and business litigation.
Andi Metzel, ’96, was elected vice president of the association. She is a partner at Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff, and is part of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Committee. She will become president elect when the term of her present office expires in October 2016, and subsequently she will lead the organization beginning in October 2017.
Karl Mulvaney, ’77, was appointed counsel to the president by association president Carol Adinamis. A cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, he is a partner at Bingham Greenbaum Doll. He focuses his practice on the areas of appellate law, litigation, and disciplinary law.
Judge Angela Sims, ’99, was appointed to the Board of Governors. She is a judge in the Madison Circuit Court, appointed in 2012 and elected two years later. She practiced with the firm Hulse Lacey Hardacre & Austin prior to being appointed to the bench, and has served as a major felony public defender in Madison County.
