Professor Emerita Ruhtenberg, '80, Pens Piece on Writing Concisely for Statewide Journal

Professor Emerita Joan Ruhtenberg, ’80, has written a piece for the journal of the Indiana State Bar Association, Res Gestae, in its “Wordwise” column. The piece, titled “Writing concisely,” appeared in the September 2015 edition.
The column reminds members of the bar of the bad habits they need to avoid, and as her title suggests, Professor Ruhtenberg is able to get her point across concisely.
Professor Ruhtenberg was director of the Legal Analysis, Research, and Communication program at IU McKinney from 1981 until she retired in 2010. Under her leadership, the legal writing program was ranked in the top 10 for six consecutive years. She graduated from the law school with honors.
