IU McKinney Law Announces New Tuition Discount for Some Out-of-State Students
11/06/2015
IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law is taking part in an agreement made through Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) to participate in the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP), a multi-state tuition reciprocity arrangement. Through the MSEP, public institutions in several states have agreed to charge students no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate (for specific programs). Details may be found at http://msep.mhec.org/
Beginning in Fall 2016, through the use of the MSEP award to offset the nonresident tuition rate, students applying to IU McKinney who are legal residents of Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wisconsin will pay no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate, which amounts to an annual tuition discount of $4800-$7500. Students may be eligible for additional scholarship support as well.
“We are very excited to be able to offer this incentive to students from around the Midwest who are interested in studying law here at IU McKinney,” said Dean Andrew R. Klein of the IU McKinney School of Law. “The proximity our school enjoys to hands-on learning opportunities or any number of networking or recreational activities here in the heart of downtown Indianapolis makes our school a natural choice for students seeking a world class legal education. This new program can help make a law degree from IU more affordable for out-of-state students.”
