International Student Speaker Series Examines Children's Rights

Two IU McKinney students took part in the International Student Speaker Series on November 19 in the Faculty Lounge at Inlow Hall.

oane Theodule, originally from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, is a J.D. student at IU McKinney, who talked about “The Evolution of Marriage in South Africa: From Ukuthwala to Forced Child Marriage.” She took part in the Program in International Human Rights Law externship program during Summer 2015 and traveled to Thailand and South Africa. Faisel Emad Sadat, an LL.M. student at IU McKinney from Egypt, talked about “Military Detention of Palestinian Children in Isreal.” He is a graduate of Tanta University School of Law in Tanta, Egypt. He is shown in the photo with Caparas.
