01/22/2016
Professor Fran Quigley, ’87, will talk about his latest book, If We Can Win Here: The New Front Lines of the Labor Movement, at the University of Notre Dame on January 29.
The talk will be given over lunch as part of the Higgins Lunchtime Labor RAPS series at Notre Dame. The book was published by Cornell University Press in Spring 2015. The work examines the renewal of the labor movement as service-sector workers strive toward better wages, reliable work schedules, and better working conditions.
Professor Quigley is a clinical professor of law, teaching in the Health and Human Rights Clinic. Clinic students advocate for rights on behalf of the poor, and have a special focus on representing low-wage workers.
