IU McKinney Alumni Nominated for James Beard Foundation Awards

Two alumni of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law who are well-known in the Indianapolis-area restaurant scene are under consideration for the James Beard Foundation Awards.
Martha Hoover, ’80, has been nominated in the Best Restaurateur category. Hoover was a semifinalist for this award in 2013. Chef Abbi Merriss at Bluebeard, which is owned by Ed Battista, ’14, has been nominated for Best Chef, Great Lakes Region. Bluebeard was a semifinalist for the Best New Restaurant Award in 2013.
