IU McKinney Team Competes in Midwest Regional Transactional LawMeet

The IU McKinney team of 2L Carol Greer, and 3Ls Matt Snyder and Andrew Umlauf, earned first runner-up at the 2016 Midwest Regional Transactional LawMeet, hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City on February 26.

In the competition, the team represented a large corporation in merging one if its subsidiaries with an outside limited liability company to form an emerging technology business with global reach. The judges, experienced mergers and acquisitions lawyers, were complimentary of the McKinney team’s performance in the rounds with more than one judge expressing particular appreciation of our team’s exceptional negotiating skills, depth of understanding the complex issues, and ability to present creative “win-win” solutions.
The team gives special thanks to Krieg DeVault LLP for its support in the team’s preparation for the competition.
