Alumnae Share Scholarship on Estate Planning, Family Law

DeAnna Beckner, ’14, and Angelique Devaux, LL.M. ’13, presented a paper titled "Crossing the Atlantic: An Introduction to Franco-American Estate Planning" at the Fifth Annual Global Conference of the Younger Comparativists Committee of the American Society of Comparative Law at Tulane Law School, New Orleans, Louisiana on March 19.
DeVaux’s paper, "The Franco-German Agreement on The Optional Matrimonial Property Regime: A New Practical Tool in the Movement Towards the Harmonization of the European Substantive Rules in Family Law" has been published in The International Lawyer, Winter 2015, Volume 48, Number 3, PP 215-229.
Devaux is a lawyer in Paris, and also is an artist. She divides her time between Indianapolis and Paris.
Beckner is pursuing an LL.M. from the Heckerling Graduate School of Estate Planning at the University of Miami School of Law.
