05/16/2016
Three members of the faculty at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law have been awarded Grimes Faculty Fellowships for 2016. The recipients are Professors Shawn Boyne, Jim Nehf, and Lahny Silva.
Grimes Faculty Fellowships provide support and recognition of a faculty member’s excellence as a classroom teacher, legal scholarship, or high achievement in the legal profession in Indiana.
- Professor Boyne received a fellowship in support of her proposal on “Organizational Culture and the Defense Function: A Comparative Study.”
- Professor Nehf received a fellowship for his proposal on “Simulations and Drafting Exercises in the Field of Contracts and Commercial Law.”
- Professor Silva received a fellowship for her proposal on “The Trap.” Her intended research project is a multi-level, multi-branch, cross-national analysis of the barriers to reentry.
Professor John S. Grimes was a member of Indiana University’s faculties, including at the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he taught Property and Trusts and Estates. Upon his passing in 1992, funds from Professor Grimes’ estate established The John S. Grimes Memorial Grants and Legal Scholarship Endowment. It is an endowment in the Indiana University Foundation, and provides medical grants and faculty fellowships to the IU McKinney School of Law faculty.
