Visiting Professor Dillard Discusses DOJ Report on Baltimore Police on NPR Program

Professor J. Amy Dillard was a guest on the program, Midday, on NPR affiliate WYPR in Baltimore, Maryland. A Department of Justice investigation revealed that the Baltimore Police Department disproportionately stops, searches, and arrests African Americans, according to the program that aired August 12.
Professor Dillard joins IU McKinney after teaching at the University of Baltimore School of Law since 2006. Before she became a law professor, Dillard practiced law in Alexandria, Virginia, where she specialized in criminal defense and served as the city’s deputy public defender for many years. She currently represents a client charged with capital murder in Virginia.
