Professors Sullivan, Georgakopoulos Write about Judicial Coalitions for 'Judicature'
08/29/2016
Professors Frank Sullivan Jr., Nicholas Georgakopoulos, and Dimitri Georgakopoulos wrote “The Fluidity of Judicial Coalitions” for the Autumn 2016 issue of Judicature. The journal is published by the Duke Law Center for Judicial Studies.
The piece examines the coalitions within the supreme courts of the United States and Indiana. Rather than focus on the conventional wisdom on a right versus left political division, this article considers the most recently appointed justice and analyzes court decisions in that context.
Professor Sullivan is Professor of Practice at IU McKinney. He served on the Indiana Supreme Court from 1993 until 2012, when he joined the faculty at IU McKinney.
Professor Georgakopoulos is the Harold R. Woodard Professor of Law at IU McKinney, where he teaches business associations, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy law, and securities regulation.
Dimitri Georgakopoulos is a student at Kenyon College.
