Students in the Child Advocacy Law Clinic, IU McKinney’s tenth clinic, will work with attorneys from Child Advocates, the court appointed special advocate agency for Marion County. Law students will learn how to best advocate for children in the child welfare system. Students will interact with their child clients, other parties, and in the courtroom. Classroom sessions will focus heavily on legal issues faced by children in the child welfare system including immigration, family law, juvenile delinquency, education law, and rights to privacy among other topics.
