Professor Bell, '11, to Take Part in Press Conference in Washington, D.C., on Federal Judicial Vacancies

Professor Roxana Bell, ’11, will take part in a press conference on September 7 on the steps of the United States Supreme Court to talk about federal judicial vacancies. She is taking part in the event in her capacity as president of the Marion County Bar Association.
There are currently 95 vacancies in the federal courts, with a total of 57 nominees pending. The greatest number of vacancies is among the nation’s U.S. District Courts, where there are 75 vacancies with 42 nominees pending.
Professor Bell is a visiting clinical professor of Law at IU McKinney, where she teaches Legal Communication and Analysis. She began her legal career with two consecutive clerkships, after which she practiced labor and employment law at Bingham Greenebaum Doll. She joined the faculty at IU McKinney in Fall 2016.
