John Trimble, '81, to Receive IndyBar's Professionalism Award

John Trimble. ’81, is the recipient of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Professionalism Award. He will receive the honor at the IndyBar’s Professionalism Luncheon on September 27.
“I have observed John Trimble in a number of contexts where he demonstrates professionalism in action,” said IU McKinney Dean Andrew R. Klein. Dean Klein was on the IndyBar Board of Directors when Trimble was president. “His leadership in that capacity was exemplary. In every interaction, he was respectful of differing viewpoints, fair in how he resolved issues, and organized in managing processes.” Trimble approached his leadership as president of the Indiana University McKinney School of Law Board of Visitors in much the same way, the dean said, adding that “he has shown a commitment to law students and recent graduates, demonstrating the importance that he places on the future of the legal profession.”
Trimble is a partner at Lewis Wagner, and serves at chair of the IU McKinney Board of Visitors. His law practice is devoted to defense of complex litigation in state and federal courts in more than 25 jurisdictions. He has received numerous honors throughout his career for his work in the bar and on behalf of the community. He is immediate past-president of the IndyBar, and currently serves as secretary
