IP Event Sponsored by IU McKinney and International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association to Take Place October 28
10/17/2016
The Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation at IU McKinney and the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association (ITCTLA) will host an event at the law school aimed at increasing knowledge of the protection of IP rights. Titled, “Section 337: What It Is and Why You Need to Know,” the program will take place October 28 in the Wynne Courtroom at Inlow Hall.
The program will cover how practitioners can block foreign-made infringing products from entering the United States, and how such bans can work against clients. The conference will provide a primer on Section 337, in-house counsel perspectives, practice tips from lawyers with extensive experience in this area of law, and an opportunity for networking.
ITCTLA was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to improving the administration of Section 337 and informing attorneys, international trade officials, and legislators about practice before the International Trade Commission.
There is a fee to attend this program, and 3.3 hours of Indiana Continuing Legal Education credit are available. To learn more, visit the IU McKinney website or contact ITCTLA via the GA Team at 202-675-8335 or info@thegateam.com
