IU McKinney Plays Vital Part in Indiana University's Bicentennial Campaign

From now until 2020, Indiana University is celebrating 200 years of achievement with For All: The Indiana University Bicentennial Campaign. The IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law is part of this historic initiative that includes all of IU’s eight campuses and will prepare IU for continued success in the centuries to come.
At the law school, funds raised will provide additional student scholarships and expand experiential, skills-based learning. Additionally, funding will provide faculty with the support they need in their dual roles as teachers and scholars, and will also boost the efforts of the school’s academic centers and programs.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our school to reinforce—and enhance—the outstanding foundation of legal education that we have provided to our students for generations,” said Dean Andrew R. Klein. “The success of our alumni illustrates the importance of IU McKinney, not only for its impact on the legal profession, but also on the business community, the non-profit sector and government.”
Indiana University has created a special matching program for donors who create endowed scholarships, fellowships, chairs, and professorships. The Office of the President has a second matching initiative specifically for full-time, current, or retired faculty and staff who create endowments for any purpose. Through this effort, the university will enhance the amount available to be spent from these endowments every year, doubling the impact of donors’ generosity.
IU McKinney has made significant progress toward its $12 million goal. Already at $8 million since the campaign began, generous donors have put the law school well on its way toward meeting its goal when the effort concludes on December 31, 2019.
