International Student Speaker Series Addresses Issues in Refugee Camps and Problems of Child Labor

LL.M. students Asma Asad and Swati Pradeep made presentations during the International Student Speaker Series on November 29 at IU McKinney.
Asad is from Pakistan, and is pursuing her studies in the American Law for Foreign Lawyers track. Her topic was “Confronting Rape and Violence in Refugee Camps.” Asad worked as a law clerk at the Indiana Attorney General’s Office during Summer 2016 before beginning her LL.M. studies at IU McKinney.
Pradeep is originally from Mysore, Karnataka in India. She spoke on Child Labor in India. She interned with the Saving Promise in Washington, D.C., and at the International Center in Indianapolis before beginning her studies at IU McKinney. Pradeep is pursuing her studies in the International Human Rights Law track.
