Professor Emmert to Present at Fordham Law Conference
01/10/2017
Professor Frank Emmert will take part in the conference “EU Law with the UK, EU Law Without the UK” on February 27 at Fordham University School of Law. The event is presented by the school’s International Law Journal and Center on European Law.
Professor Emmert’s topic will be “The Evolution of European Contract Law – With and Without Brexit.” The symposium will not explore Brexit so much as trace the influence of the United Kingdom on key regulatory policies. Speakers will provide insight from their particular areas of law regarding whether and how the UK has influenced the European Union’s policies, what EU law might have been if not for the UK’s membership in the first place, and explore the possible consequences of Brexit.
Professor Emmert is the Executive Director of the Center for International and Comparative Law, and the John S. Grimes Professor of Law. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, North American Branch.
