IP Center Luncheon Series Focuses on U.S. Government Contracts

James Pinyerd, commercial manager of Rolls-Royce North American Technologies, was the presenter for the January 17 IP Center lecture. Pinyerd’s topic was “All You Need to Know about How the U.S. Government Handles Intellectual Property Issues in Related Contracts.” In the photo from left are Michael Hussey, ’07, of Brinkes Gilson & Lione, Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen, director of the Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation at IU McKinney, Pinyerd, and Hamid Piroozi, ’06, visiting professor of Law and IU McKinney.
The lecture was part of the law school’s Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation’s weekly luncheon series. During the events, practitioners share stories of their daily work, how they got where they are in their careers, and offer practical tips to students.
