IU McKinney LL.M. students revived the Amnesty International Law Student Chapter in January 2017.

 The international students elected Aron Okubaldet as president; Swati Pradeep, vice president; Oluwatobiloba Florence Kappo, secretary; and Glorify Mandima, treasurer.

 “I personally have a great respect for organizations like Amnesty International and the values they stand for,’ Okubaldet said. “Thus, today, I feel very proud to take part in reviving the Amnesty International Law Student Chapter.”

 The group aims to foster awareness of human rights violations, and plans to promote and advocate for human rights.

 Professor George Edwards serves as faculty adviser to the group.
