IU McKinney Goes 'Behind the Scenes of Carnaval'
02/17/2017
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the law school had the opportunity to go “Behind the Scenes of Carnaval” during an event at IU McKinney on February 16. The event featured food and drink associated with carnaval in Brazil, and the opportunity to learn about the tradition.
“I think the event was a great success,” said IU McKinney LL.M. student Aline Doral Stefani Fagundes. Fagundes is a judge in Brazil. She organized the program. “The food was authentic (my daughter couldn’t stop eating!) and the music was a pleasant sample of the sound of the Carnaval.”
The event was sponsored by the law school’s Graduate Programs, the Master of Laws Association, and the Partners of the Americas/Indiana Chapter. It was funded by an International Programming Grant from the IUPUI Office of International Affairs.
