Angela Freeman, '12, Receives Award for Achievement in Science and Technical Disciplines

Angela B. Freeman, ’12, an associate in the intellectual property department and life sciences practice group at Barnes & Thornburg, received the Center for Leadership Development’s Achievement in Science and Technical Disciplines Award. She received the honor at the group’s annual awards and scholarship event, which took place on March 23.
The Center for Leadership Development fosters the advancement of minority youth in Central Indiana as future professional, business, and community leaders by providing experiences that encourage personal development and educational attainment.
Prior to her legal career, Freeman was a biologist at Eli Lilly and Company, where she received the Lilly Chairman’s Ovation Award for Global Leadership in Diversity, and was awarded the Eli Lilly Law Alumni Scholarship. She is a frequent visitor to the law school, and participates in the Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation’s annual careers panel luncheon for law students.
