Story on Pre-K Features IU McKinney Student

A story on pre-kindergarten funding in Indiana features IU McKinney 3L student Kendra Harper. The story appears in the April 1 issue of the Indianapolis Business Journal.
Harper, who works as a law clerk in the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, worked part-time at a restaurant in order to pay for her daughter’s pre-kindergarten classes. After receiving an On My Way Pre-K scholarship to cover the costs of the program, Harper said she was able to quit the part-time job and complete several externships while in law school. The externships would not have been possible while she was working the part-time job, she said.
