IU McKinney ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition Team Wins First Round

IU McKinney’s American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition team took part in the national finals in Chicago, April 6 through 8. Advocates Josh Woodward and Jessi Hilger, both IU McKinney third-year law students, beat Gonzaga University School of Law in the first round before losing to Texas Tech University School of Law.
The team was coached by IU McKinney third-year law student James Harry, and their faculty advisor was Professor James Dimitri. Out of 118 teams, the IU McKinney team ultimately ranked 17th, and their brief ranked 6th.
