IU McKinney Alumni Dominate Annual Leadership in Law Honorees List

A total of 16 alumni of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law are among those in the Indiana Lawyer’s 2017 Class of Leadership in Law honorees. Five alumni are among the 15 attorneys on the Distinguished Barristers list, and 11 IU McKinney alumni have been named to the Up and Coming Lawyers list of 15 honorees in that category. The 2017 Leadership in Law class will be celebrated at a reception at the Columbia Club in downtown Indianapolis on May 9.
IU McKinney’s Distinguished Barrister honorees are:
Judge Nancy Eshcoff Boyer, ’76, serves on the bench of the Allen County Civil Division, where she has presided since 1991. She helped establish and currently operates the Allen County Mortgage Foreclosure Trial Court Assistance Project, and is a member of the Indiana Mortgage Foreclosure Task Force.
Douglas R. Brown, ’84, is a partner at the Indianapolis law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans, and managing principal of Bose Public Affairs Group. He is a member of the firm’s Governmental Services and Financial Institutions groups.
Lee C. Christie, ’82, is a partner at the Indianapolis law firm of Cline Farrell Christie & Lee. Christie’s practice is focused on trucking collision cases, wrongful death, and alternative dispute resolution.
Karl Mulvaney, ’77, is a partner at the Indianapolis law firm of Bingham Greenebaum Doll. A cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, Mulvaney practices in the areas of appellate, litigation, and disciplinary law.
Marti Starkey, ’81, is a partner at the Indianapolis law firm of Harrison & Moberly. Starkey serves as chair of the Trust and Estate Practice Group. She focuses her practice in the area of wills, trusts, estates, and related litigation.
IU McKinney’s Up and Coming Lawyers are:
Jenai Mehra Brackett, ’11, is managing associate at the Indianapolis office of the law firm of Frost Brown Todd. A magna cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, she focuses her practice on complex business litigation and white-collar criminal defense.
Kayla Britton, ’10, is an associate in the Indianapolis office of the law firm, Faegre Baker Daniels. A summa cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, Britton is a business lawyer who focuses her practice on situations of financial distress.
Caitlin Byczko, ’14, is an associate in the Indianapolis office of the law firm, Barnes & Thornburg. A summa cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, she is a member of the Intellectual Property Department; the Internet and Technology Law; and the Entertainment, Media group; and Sports practice group.
Amy Cornell, ’06, is of counsel at the Indianapolis law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans. A cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, she is a part of the firm’s Agribusiness and Real Estate practice groups, as well as a second vice president in government relations with Bose Public Affairs Group.
Trisha Dudlo, ’06, is an associate in the Evansville office of law firm Bamberger Foreman Oswald & Hahn. Dudlo is a member of the firm’s Family Law and Litigation teams. In addition to family law, she helps clients defend lemon law cases.
Jared Haller, ’12, is a staff attorney in the Fort Wayne office of Indiana Legal Services, where he practices a mix of consumer, family, and landlord-tenant cases. He also collaborates with pro bono providers in his areas to help people with re-entry issues and criminal record mitigation.
James Hamstra, ’06, is an in-house attorney for MOBI Wireless Management in Indianapolis. Prior to that, he worked as corporate counsel as an independent contractor for a Fortune 500 entity, and before that was general counsel and chief information officer for the Indiana State Fair Commission.
Jonathan Knoll, ’10, is an associate at the Indianapolis law firm of Cohen & Malad. Knoll works in the Personal Injury Practice Group, and focuses his work on medical device and pharmaceutical litigation.
Erik Long, ’09, is a partner in the Indianapolis office of law firm Ice Miller. A cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, Long is a member of the law firm’s Public Finance Group, where he serves public school corporations, higher education institution, libraries, and other political subdivisions.
Mallory Long, ’15, is legislative counsel in the office of the Indiana Secretary of State. Prior to this position, she was an enforcement attorney in the Secretary of State’s office, and began her career there working as the manager of legal affairs.
Ryan Marques, ’10, is an associate in the Indianapolis office of the law firm Faegre Baker Daniels, where he practices immigration law. Marques is also the honorary counsel to Portugal, the youngest person in Indiana history to be appointed to an honorary diplomatic role.
