Professor Magliocca's Book on John Bingham Mentioned in 'ABA Journal' Article

An article in the May 2017 edition of the ABA Journal that focuses on the 14th Amendment makes note of IU McKinney Professor Gerard Magliocca’s 2013 book on the amendment’s principal author, John Bingham.
Professor Magloicca’s third book, American Founding Son: John Bingham and the Invention of the Fourteenth Amendment, was published by New York University Press.
The article points out that Professor Magliocca’s book relates Bingham’s statement that the “limitations of the Constitution upon the states in favor of the personal liberty of all of the citizens of [the] republic black and white [are] soon to become a great question before the people.”
Professor Magliocca is a Samuel R. Rosen Professor of Law, and a noted expert in constitutional law.
