David Nguyen, '06, to Join Faculty at University of Texas

Professor David Nguyen, ’06, will join the University of Texas at San Antonio as faculty in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. He will teach education law in Fall 2017.
Professor Nguyen is currently an assistant professor of educational leadership at the University of North Dakota College of Education and Human Development. He was a joint-degree student at IU McKinney, receiving an M.B.A. through the IU Kelley School of Business, in addition to his J.D.
After receiving those degrees, Nguyen was named visiting professor of business ethics at Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he developed and taught graduate courses in business ethics for the university’s M.B.A. and D.B.A. programs. After graduation, Nguyen applied for and received a Rotary Foundation scholarship to study abroad, earning an LL.M. Adv. degree at Leiden University in the Netherlands. He served as the pro bono director of the American Bar Association’s Disaster Legal Services program. Nguyen practiced law in Indianapolis for two years before returning to IU to earn a Ph.D. in education policy.
