Timothy Samuelson, ’98, has been named judge of the Dane County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. He was appointed to the bench in June.

Samuelson served as Assistant Attorney General for the Wisconsin Department of Justice from 2012 until his appointment to the bench. While in that role, he served as Director of the Medicaid Fraud Control and Elder Abuse Unit, and held the position of Deputy Director of the Special Litigation and Appeals Unit. Prior to his role in government service, he was legal counsel for the law firm Schopf & Weiss, and an associate attorney in the firm Iwan Cray Huber Horstman & VanAusdal. Both law firms are based in Chicago.
