Dean Klein Named to Diversity Committee of the Law School Admission Council

IU McKinney Dean Andrew R. Klein has been appointed to the Diversity Committee of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). He will serve a one-year term which may extend into a second year.
LSAC is a non-profit membership organization whose members include law schools approved by the American Bar Association. In addition to developing and administering the Law School Admission Test, LSAC provides a number of services to law school applicants, member law schools, and other entities. The Diversity Committee is one of four standing committee of the LSAC Board of Trustees.
“Dean Klein was selected to serve on this committee based upon his personal commitment to increasing the diversity of the legal profession,” said Sondra R. Tennessee, Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Houston Law Center and Chair of the LSAC Diversity Committee. “His personal commitment makes him an ideal choice for this committee.”
For many years, LSAC has had diversity and inclusion among its core values. The Diversity Committee develops and reviews projects and initiatives designed to increase the diversity of LSAC-member law schools and the legal profession. Members of the Diversity Committee are selected from member law schools and appointed by the Board of Trustees chair. The Diversity Committee’s meets at least twice annually and makes recommendations for projects to the LSAC Board of Trustees.
