Raphael Ortega, ’11, has been awarded an American Bar Association Business Law Section Fellowship. No more than 20 lawyers are chosen to take part in the two-year program.

Fellows are assigned to mentors who also have been through the program, which encourages participation in the activities of the Business Law Section. Attendance of section meetings is a critical part of leadership growth, and fellows’ attendance at up to six Business Law Section meetings is covered during the program.

Ortega is in-house Associate General Counsel with the Agency for Healthcare Administration in Florida; his office is based in downtown Saint Petersburg. He works as part of a team of about 20 attorneys that regulate different types of healthcare facilities across the entire state.
