The Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation at IU McKinney is partnering with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to present “The Crossroads of America’s Strategies for IP in China – What Indiana Companies Need to Know.” The event is part of the China Intellectual Property Road Show series spearheaded by the USPTO's Office of Policy and International Affairs and brings together policy makers and thought leaders on China IP issues from the U.S. government, academia, and practitioners. The speakers will share insights on critical issues involving China IP that will benefit U.S. IP right holders at Inlow Hall in Indianapolis on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. The event includes key participation from the USPTO’s China Team, whose members work nationwide to help U.S. businesses and inventors understand how to obtain and enforce IP rights in China.
The China Intellectual Property Road Show series is organized by the USPTO Office of Policy and International Affairs, usually in cooperation with a USPTO regional office, a nearby U.S. Export Assistance Center , local bar associations, and other business organizations. The purpose is to provide a forum for attendees to create networks and engage in informed discussions of IP issues that affect their businesses.
