Children's Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana to Hold Event October 6 at IU McKinney

Professor Lahny Silva will moderate a panel discussion during the Children’s Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana’s annual Public Policy Summit. The event will take place on October 6 at IU McKinney.
The panel discussion involving Professor Silva will examine the topic, “Revisiting Indiana Law on Youth Tried as Adults.” Discussants will include Amy Karozos, ’98, and Deana Martin, ’05, both of whom serve at the Indiana Public Defender Agency.
Professor Fran Watson, ’80, of IU McKinney’s Wrongful Conviction Clinic, will welcome participants to the event. “CPLI seeks to advance laws which save kids one at a time,” she said of the organization.
The event, “Achieving a Fairer and More Just Legal System for Youth in Indiana,” carries with it 3.0 hours of CLE, pending approval. There is a fee to attend this program.
