Health Law Week Begins October 15

The Health Law Society (HLS) at the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law will launch a week of activities during Health Law Week beginning Sunday, October 15.
The events, which continue through Friday, October 20, include:
Sunday, October 15 – Hiking with the Environmental Law Society at Eagle Creek. Meet at Inlow Hall at 4 p.m.
Monday, October 16—Healthy snacks, in the HLS in the breezeway of Inlow Hall from 1-2 p.m. and 4-5 p.m.
Tuesday, October 17—Panel Discussion "What Internships/externships are available outside of Indiana?" with speakers Allison Emhardt from Hall Render, IU McKinney Professor Aila Hoss, Hall Center Associate Director Amy Elson, and IU Health Scholar Emily Sargent, from 1-2 p.m. in Room 245. Free Jimmy John’s lunch.
Wednesday, October 18—Health Law Society General Meeting, 4:30 p.m. in Room 300.
Thursday, October 19—Panel Discussion: "What Can You Do with a Health Law Degree?" with Indiana health law professionals, 4:30 p.m. in Room 375.
Friday, October 20—Hall Center for Law and Health: Indiana Health Law Review Symposium, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Wynne Court Room; IU faculty and students can register at no cost. For more information and registration, please visit https://mckinneylaw.iu.edu/events/current.cfm?eid=580.
Friday, October 20—Health Law Society Social, 7 p.m. at Metazoa Brewing Company, 140 S. College Ave. Free food. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Student Outreach Clinic.
The Health Law Society provides an opportunity for students interested in health law to convene and engage in activities promoting their common interests. The HLS organizes seminars on topics specific to health law, presents panel discussions on effective employment strategies, provides networking opportunities with local practitioners and co-sponsors the annual Health Law Speaker Event with the Hall Center for Law and Health.
