11/15/2017
Doug King, ’76, has been named the 2017 Diplomat by the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (DTCI). The only attorney to be so honored by the organization this year, King will receive the award at the DTCI annual meeting and 50th anniversary gala on November 17 in French Lick.
A Diplomat is a member of the Indiana Bar who, in the judgment of DTCI’s officers and board of directors, has distinguished himself or herself throughout his or her career through outstanding contributions to the representation of clients in the defense of litigation matters.
King, a summa cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, is a partner in the Indianapolis office of Wooden McLaughlin, where he almost exclusively practices civil litigation for the defense. He was appointed to the subcommittee for mass tort litigation of the Indiana Supreme Court Rules Committee, whose mission is to develop rules and procedures to facilitate and expedite the handling of asbestos and other mass tort cases for the state.
