Tom Easterday, ’81, Executive Vice President, Secretary, and Chief legal Officer at Subaru of Indiana Automotive, has been named Business Leader of the Year for 2017 by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. A story about Easterday appears in the November/December issue of the chamber’s magazine, BizVoice.

Easterday interned in the U.S. Attorney’s Office while in law school, and was able to argue a case before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. After graduation, he was in private practice at a law firm in Indianapolis, and was a public defender in Marion County. He also served as chief counsel for the Indiana Senate before learning of Subaru’s plans to hire a chief counsel. He’s been with the company for nearly 30 years.
