Vanessa López Aguilera, '03, has been elected president of the board of directors of Indiana Latino Expo. She opened her own law practice, López Law Office, in 2008, where she practices family law.

López has been active in the community, including serving the following organizations: on the board of directors of La Plaza, as a board member of the Hispanic Business Council, as a board member of the Indiana Bar Foundation, on the advisory board of the Eiteljorg Museum, as a participant in the Bar Leader Series, on the Latino Affairs Committee for the Indiana State Bar Association, board of directors of Legacy House, Diversity Task Force for the Indiana State Bar Association, and the board of directors of the IU McKinney Alumni Association, among others.

Indiana Latino Expo is a nonprofit organization that represents a platform of opportunities for the Latino community, designed to help people reach their full potential by creating awareness and promoting the economic development of business and employment, driving cultural infusion, supporting opportunities for education, and providing support in health and wellness to improve the quality of life for Latinos in Indiana.
