05/15/2018
The Hall Center for Law and Health awarded new IU McKinney School of Law graduate Benjamin E. Brown the Hall Render Outstanding Health Law Student Award for the Class of 2018.
Brown graduated with a J.D. and Master of Public Health degrees, with a certificate in health law and focusing on health policy and management. During his academic career, Brown published an article in the Indiana Health Law Review’s Volume 14. As a McKinney student, he was also awarded the Otto W. and Jessie A. Cox scholarship and was an IU Health Law Scholar.
“In putting my career into practice, I have gained invaluable experiences and friendships from a myriad of places, including IU Health, [the law firm] Bose, McKinney, and Evans, MDwise, Inc., Eli Lilly and Co., the Hall Center for Law and Health, and, recently with the American Red Cross,” Brown said.
“It is my hope to utilize the knowledge and experiences I have gained during these past four years to help improve health outcomes for all Hoosiers,” he said.
“The Hall Center for Law and Health would like to congratulate Ben and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” said Nicolas P. Terry, Hall Render Professor of Law and
Executive Director of the William S. and Christine S. Hall Center for Law and Health.
“Ben was an engaged, intelligent, and charismatic student during his academic career. We have no doubt he will take these skills into the work force and excel in his career as a health lawyer. The Hall Center would also like to thank Hall Render and all of our donors for their continued engagement and support in making awards like this possible for outstanding health law students.”
