Students in IU McKinney's Chinese Law Summer Program Visit Supreme People's Court
05/22/2018
Students in the Chinese Law Summer Program (CLSP) at IU McKinney visited the Supreme People's Court in Beijing on May 18. The visit is one of many cultural field trips that students take in addition to their courses on various aspects of Chinese law. In the photo, students are gathered at an entrance to the court.
Now in its third decade, the CLSP is under the director of IU McKinney Professor Tom Wilson. The program offers students either two or five credits, over the course of two or four weeks of study in China. CLSP students are given an overview of the Chinese legal system and the evolution of Chinese domestic law within the country's socialist market economy. The CLSP is hosted by Renmin University of China Law School, a longtime friend of IU McKinney.
