Professor Schumm Discusses Gary Murder Case with Post-Tribune

A man on Indiana's death row in connection with the murder of his wife and two stepchildren has lost his a petition for post-conviction relief. Kevin Isom was sentenced to death in 2013, and has consistently proclaimed his innocence.
Professor Joel Schumm, '98, talked about what generally is argued in a post-conviction relief petition for a story in the Post-Tribune. The story was published on June 12.
Professor Schumm, a manga cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, is a clinical professor of law. He also directs the IU McKinney Appellate Clinic, and the Judicial Externship Program.
