Two IU McKinney Alumni Appointed to Marion County Bench

Jennifer P. Harrison, '08, and Mark A. Jones, '80, have been appointed to the bench in Marion County.
Harrison currently practices at Lewis & Wilkins. Prior to joining the firm, she was an attorney with the Marion County Public Defender Agency from 2008 to 2017.
Jones is currently a magistrate in Marion Superior Courts. Prior to becoming a magistrate, Jones served as an attorney with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, the Supreme Court disciplinary commission, the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, the Marion County Public Defender’s Office and in private practice.
They are among those appointed to replace three judges who are retiring at the end of 2018. Among them are Judge Michael Keele, '82; and Judge Thomas Carroll, '67. Governor Eric Holcomb announced the appointments and said the new judges would be sworn into office in early 2019.
