08/27/2018
IU McKinney alumna Amy Cornell, of counsel in the Bose McKinney & Evans LLP Agribusiness and Real Estate Groups and vice president at Bose Public Affairs Group LLC, has been selected as one of three recipients for the 2018 Women in Agribusiness Demeter Award of Excellence. Cornell is the sole representative from the United States, with fellow award winners hailing from Canada and the United Kingdom.
Cornell, a '06 graduate of IU McKinney and a graduate of Purdue University, has been retained as a consultant and has assembled a steering committee to build a new agricultural law program at IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law and Purdue University. The program was first announced in October 2017.
The award recognizes those who have achieved excellence in their field or demonstrated an extraordinary contribution to the agribusiness industry.
“This award is well-deserved recognition for the Amy’s professional accomplishments and her impact on Indiana’s agriculture industry,” said IU McKinney School of Law Dean Andrew R. Klein. “We are very proud to have her leadership in creating the new agricultural law program at McKinney.”
Cornell will receive her award at the Women in Agribusiness Summit in Denver in September 2018.
