Judge Trent Meltzer, '09, Takes Bench in Shelby Circuit Court

Judge Trent Meltzer, '09, took the oath of office on August 30 before taking the bench in Shelby Circuit Court. He was sworn in by his predecessor, Judge Charles O'Connor, '72, who retired from the bench after 36 years of service. A news story about the change appeared in the Shelbyville News.
O'Connor said in the news story that he plans to pursue a career in mediation now that he has left the bench. Meltzer is a cum laude graduate of IU McKinney.
