Professor Nguyen Trains Appellate Judges in China

IU McKinney Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen was in China September 12-14, where taught appellate judges at the Judicial Training Center in Guangzhou. Professor Nguyen taught U.S. Secured Transaction Law, and was the main speaker for all three days of the event. It was the first time the appellate judges, 150 of whom attended, received training on this subject. In the photo at left is Professor Nguyen with some of the attendees.
Professor Nguyen holds the Gerald L. Bepko Chair in Law, and is the director of the IU McKinney Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation. She is an internationally recognized legal scholar, known for her expertise at the intersections of intellectual property, secured transactions, bankruptcy, licensing, and taxation. She was named a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers in March 2017.
