Professor deMaine Published in 'Law Library Journal'

Professor Susan deMaine has had a paper titled Access to the Justices’ Papers: A Better Balance, published in Law Library Journal, Vol. 110, No. 2.
The article explores the history of the Supreme Court Justices' papers and their status as private property. The work also proposes several options for encouraging greater openness. It discusses questions of access, the public’s interest in understanding the Court and its decisions, and the effect of the Justices’ papers on scholarship and popular research.
Professor deMaine received the AALL Emerging Leader Award in 2016. She joined the library faculty in 2011, and teaches legal analysis, research, and communication; and legal research.
