Professor Emily Benfer, '05, Launches Clinic at Columbia Law School

Professor Emily Benfer, '05, has launched one of four new clinics at Columbia Law School. Professor Benfer will lead the Health Justice Advocacy Clinic. She moved to Columbia Law at the beginning of the 2018-2019 academic year.
Benfer was the director of the Health Justice Project at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and Loyola University School of Medicine's Department of Public Health. She anticipates that students will work on the prevalence of lead hazards and mold in private and public housing. A story on the new clinics appears in the National Jurist.
