John Krauss, '76, Named to Indianapolis Bicentennial Commission

John Krauss, '76, has been named to the Indianapolis Bicentennial Commission by Mayor Joe Hogsett. The nine-member bipartisan commission will lead the planning, programming, and initiatives surrounding the city's bicentennial celebration in 2020 and 2021. The group will focus on fundraising for events, and create projects to engage community organizations in the celebration. Events will start in June 2020 and continue through Summer 2021.
Krauss is the former and founding director of the Indiana University Public Policy Institute, and is a former Deputy Mayor in Indianapolis, among other public service stints in his career.
Krauss is also Senior Advisor to the IUPUI Chancellor; Clinical Professor Emeritus of Public and Environmental Affairs; an attorney, mediator, and arbitrator at Krauss Group; and an adjunct professor at IU McKinney.
